A rare opportunity to join Horizon Services Limited as an Electrician, delivering specialist electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault response across our network and thirdparty clients. Based in Palmerston North, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and highquality electrical services across our distribution network.

About the Role:

You will provide fieldbased HV electrical services including:

• Maintenance, repairs, and operation of HV/LV switchgear, transformers, cables, control and protection relays, metering, and mobile generator connections
• Electrical distribution fault response and repairs
• Regular inspection of equipment, plant, and work sites
• Completing accurate job documentation, reports, and asbuilts
• Working collaboratively in a multiskilled team environment
• Providing technical guidance and supporting trainees
• Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with all industry regulations

About You:

You will bring strong technical capability and handson HV experience, ideally within electricity distribution or network environments.

You will also have:

• Registered Electrician
• 25 years' experience in HV/LV electrical maintenance, distribution systems, or associated activities
• Knowledge of generation and distribution equipment (low and high voltage)
• Strong understanding of network operating systems
• Ability to maintain transformers and switchgear rated from 400V to 33kV
• Thorough knowledge of industry rules, regulations, and safety requirements
• Experience using network communication systems
• Current NZ Driver Licence and Class 2 Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a highperforming team
• Strong judgement, planning, and customer service skills
