Position Summary
This is an ONSITE position located in Alexandria, VA.
National Capitol Contracting is seeking a O365 Systems Engineer (Mid) to join our team in support of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The USPTO fosters innovation and economic growth by administering the nation's patent and trademark systems. The System Engineer Mid performs operations, maintenance, administration, implementation, and engineering support for the agency's Microsoft 365 collaboration environment while supporting production operations and continuous improvement activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Perform day-to-day administration, operations, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 collaboration services supporting production environments.
- Administer, configure, customize, and maintain SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related collaboration technologies.
- Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, document workarounds, and implement corrective actions.
- Support implementation of upgrades, deployments, integrations, configuration changes, testing activities, and platform enhancements.
- Provide advanced technical support for collaboration tools and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Develop technical documentation, knowledge articles, operational procedures, user guidance, and training materials.
- Support ServiceNow ticket management activities, production support, and reporting requirements.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft 365 collaboration capabilities and recommend improvements supporting agency operations and business processes.
- Support engineering teams with platform modernization, process automation, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Microsoft 365 collaboration services are administered in accordance with established governance, security, and operational standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience administering enterprise Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
- Experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience troubleshooting production collaboration environments and resolving technical issues.
- Experience supporting deployments, testing, documentation, and operational maintenance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration services in a Federal environment.
Compensation:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00
The compensation range listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role.
