Purpose:
Aldridge Pite, LLP has an immediate need for a Remote Bankruptcy Supervisor. The Supervisor will work with the Post-Petition Fee Notice Team. This candidate must be dependable, efficient and have excellent communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and manage time appropriately. Candidate must be willing and ready to motivate employees, resolve conflict and have the ability to make effective decisions.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Post-Petition Fee Notice Team, ensuring timely preparation, review, and filing of post-petition fee notices in accordance with Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 3002.1, client requirements, and firm policies.
- Manage workflow distribution, monitor productivity, and ensure all court deadlines, client service level agreements, and internal performance metrics are consistently achieved.
- Ensure post-petition fee notices are prepared accurately, supported by appropriate documentation, and submitted within required statutory and court-imposed timeframes.
- Monitor quality assurance processes by reviewing completed notices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards and bankruptcy procedures.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to post-petition fees, costs, billing records, and client-reported exceptions.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex post-petition fee issues, working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, bankruptcy case managers, clients, and mortgage servicers to resolve exceptions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental procedures and quality control measures to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Analyze workflow trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members on bankruptcy servicing requirements, departmental procedures, system updates, and best practices.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, address performance concerns, and recognize employee achievements.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Partner with internal departments and clients to implement procedural changes, system enhancements, and new client requirements affecting post-petition fee notice processing.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, bankruptcy rules, client servicing guidelines, and firm policies governing post-petition fee disclosures.
- Perform additional supervisory responsibilities, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in bankruptcy servicing, mortgage servicing, default servicing, or a related legal operations environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 3002.1 and post-petition fee notice requirements preferred.
- Experience reviewing attorney fees, costs, and bankruptcy-related documentation with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees while managing performance and accountability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with bankruptcy case management or mortgage servicing systems is preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and uphold a high standard of professionalism and accuracy.
