Test & Evaluation Engineer – Hanover, MD in Hanover, Maryland at DCI Solutions

Job Description

• Manage the overall planning and execution of test and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with the Army Evaluation Center and other external DOD test agencies.
• Lead and participate in system-level technical and operational testing for software.
• Assists in developing, preparing, executing, and overseeing Test Plans.
• Lead in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Test Readiness Reviews.
• Assess technical documentation for test readiness and monitor T&E activities.
• Assist the development of testing tools and methodologies.
• Coordinate with the testing organizations throughout the T&E lifecycle.
• Prepare/review test documentation including:
  • Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and specific test plans
  • Schedules test reports in support of Milestone Decisions and Material Release.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six (6) years progressively complex experience in:
  • The testing and integration of software-intensive systems
  • Related to tactical C4ISR, EW and Cyber systems.
• Experience in developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness.
• Hands-on experience with EW and waveform testing.
• Familiarity with the use of databases and automated tools for:
  • Evaluation, analytical, and verification support.
• Familiarity with T&E policies and procedures in support of DoD 5000 Acquisition.
• Familiar leading all aspects of a test including:
  • Test planning, management of test activities, and test evaluation
  • Reporting to various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with formal phases:
  • Testing and their associated review processes.
  • Contractor testing, developmental testing, and operational testing.
  • Operational assessment and user acceptance testing.
• Experience preparing test documentation (e.g., test plans, test procedures, TEMPs)
