Job Description

Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer The Role

Every day, thousands of roofing contractors run their entire business on AccuLynx: winning jobs, ordering materials, scheduling work, and getting paid. When AccuLynx is fast and reliable, they can build roofs that protect homes and families around the world.

We've spent 15+ years building the platform that runs AccuLynx. The infrastructure that got us here won't be the infrastructure that takes us where we're going. We’re looking for engineers who want to build what comes next. Our footprint spans cloud-hosted Kubernetes, Linux and Windows fleets, high-volume data systems, and the CI/CD pipelines that ship code to production every day. You'll own major systems outright and shape how AccuLynx scales for the next decade.

What You'll Own
  • Data systems: The data layer of the business, including SQL Server, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka, all running at scale and with no room for downtime.
  • Kubernetes: Multiple production clusters powering our microservices, run entirely through GitOps with ArgoCD and Traefik.
  • AI Platform: The AI agent runtimes, model gateways, and tooling our engineers use to ship agentic workloads.
  • Server fleet: Windows and Linux servers that are provisioned with Terraform and governed by Ansible.
  • CI/CD: The delivery engine of GitLab runners, TeamCity, and .NET build tooling that turns every merge into production value.
  • Observability: Datadog and Kibana, tuned so every alert means something and nothing breaks silently.
  • Incidents: Lead the response from first alert to root cause and lasting fix.
  • Resilience: Backup and disaster recovery that is proven through regular restore testing, never assumed.
  • Security and compliance: As a core part of our SOC 2 program, you'll enforce least-privilege access, keep secrets out of code, and patch without excuses.
  • Automation: You'll hunt down repetitive work and make it disappear.
What We're Looking For

We don't expect experience with everything. We expect strong platform engineering fundamentals and an eagerness to learn whatever comes next.

Required

  • 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Skilled use of AI tooling.
  • Solid Linux administration skills.
  • Scripting in Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management.
  • Working knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD (GitLab CI or similar).
  • Experience with an observability platform, ideally Datadog.

Preferred

  • Experience running at least one of our data systems.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience (Helm, ingress controllers, upgrades).
  • Windows Server administration.
  • IBM Cloud, AWS, or any other major cloud provider.
  • Exposure to security tooling and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI, etc).

Recruitment Process:

We do not hire based on buzzwords or popular acronyms. We hire people who've mastered their craft and keep learning. We aim to reply to your application within a week of receiving it. Our interview process consists of several stages, each one allowing us to get to know you better, professionally and technically. It is also an opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of our culture and the work we do here at AccuLynx. The stages include:

  • Resume review
  • Recruiter phone screen
  • Engineering Manager interview
  • Remote conversation with a few members of your team
