This leadership role oversees the strategy, delivery, security, and ongoing support of internally developed applications and data platforms.
You will guide a software development team while shaping technical standards, architecture, and development practices.
The role combines hands-on technical leadership with ownership of application roadmaps and enterprise integrations.
You will also oversee SQL Server environments and ensure trusted, well-structured data supports reporting and business intelligence.
Working across infrastructure, security, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will deliver scalable and maintainable technology solutions.

- Lead, mentor, and support the software development team while establishing coding standards, development practices, and technical guidelines.
- Own the application development roadmap, prioritizing initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Oversee SQL Server databases, including data modeling, performance tuning, integrity, and reliability.
- Ensure reporting and analytics teams have accurate, well-structured, documented, and trusted data.
- Oversee development using C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, Windows services, and enterprise integrations.
- Manage third-party software vendors and outsourced development partners, including technical deliverables and project coordination.
- Review application and solution architecture for scalability, security, maintainability, and long-term effectiveness.
- Administer Software Composition Analysis tools such as Mend.io to monitor open-source components, licensing requirements, and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure internally developed and externally delivered code is appropriately scanned and security vulnerabilities are remediated.
- Maintain technical documentation, application architecture, and development standards.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business leaders to deliver strategic technology solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, and systems integration.
- Experience managing software vendors, outsourced development partners, and technical projects.
- Proficiency with Git and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure coding principles, vulnerability management, and application security.
- Experience with Mend.io or a comparable Software Composition Analysis or application security platform.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices is preferred.
- PowerShell automation experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting through trusted data platforms is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, collections, or another regulated industry is advantageous.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role is preferred.
- For remote work, a broadband internet connection is required, with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds, using a hard-wired connection rather than Wi-Fi or mobile hotspots.
