This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle MDM Solution Architect based in Canada.
This role is a senior client-facing architecture position focused on leading end-to-end Meter Data Management (MDM) solution delivery within complex utility transformation programs. You will be responsible for defining, designing, and guiding functional solutions that align business requirements with Oracle Utilities capabilities, particularly within Customer-to-Meter (C2M) environments. The role combines deep domain expertise in utility operations with hands-on solution architecture, configuration oversight, and delivery leadership across distributed teams. You will work closely with client stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, best-practice system designs while ensuring alignment across multiple project workstreams. This is a high-impact consulting role where technical depth, functional leadership, and client engagement directly shape successful enterprise implementations.
- Lead the definition, design, and end-to-end delivery of Oracle MDM/C2M functional solutions across utility transformation programs.
- Translate client business requirements into structured solution designs aligned with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) capabilities and best practices.
- Facilitate workshops with client stakeholders to define business processes, validate requirements, and align solution scope.
- Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment activities for Meter Data Management systems, ensuring quality and alignment with functional design.
- Collect, validate, and analyze meter data from electric, water, and gas systems, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Drive execution across interdependent workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, documentation, and solution components.
- Coordinate onshore and offshore teams to ensure delivery consistency, issue resolution, and adherence to project timelines.
- Manage project risks, issues, and escalations while maintaining clear communication with client leadership and internal teams.
- Review and approve functional deliverables, including process documentation, configuration artifacts, and testing outputs.
- Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses, solution strategy development, and scope definition.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in consulting, systems implementation, or utility technology services.
- Strong expertise in Meter Data Management (MDM) and utility meter-to-cash processes.
- Proven experience leading at least three full-cycle Oracle Utilities or MDM implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Customer-to-Meter (C2M) solutions.
- Strong understanding of SQL and cloud-based enterprise system architectures.
- Ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and map them to functional system designs.
- Experience working in distributed delivery environments, coordinating offshore and onshore teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with client-facing consulting experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, complex project environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred experience with Oracle certifications, XML, Groovy, SaaS, and related utility platforms.
