JOB SUMMARY
The Pool Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Infinity Pool and Pool Food & Beverage service to ensure exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. This position provides leadership and support to the Pool & Food & Beverage teams through coaching, training, scheduling, and daily supervision while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
The Pool Supervisor serves as a visible leader on the pool deck, ensuring seamless guest service, efficient operations, and adherence to Sanctuary's service standards.
JOB FUNCTIONS

Pool Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of the Infinity Pool and Pool Bar to ensure an exceptional luxury guest experience.
- Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the pool deck, furniture, cabanas, towel stations, and surrounding guest areas throughout the day.
- Ensure pool attendants maintain appropriate towel inventory, chair set-up, cabana readiness, and guest amenities.
- Conduct routine inspections of the pool area to identify maintenance or safety concerns and promptly communicate issues to Engineering.
- Ensure all pool equipment, furniture, umbrellas, and service stations remain clean, operational, and guest-ready.
- Monitor weather conditions and assist with operational adjustments during inclement weather or excessive heat.
- Ensure all pool policies, safety procedures, and guest conduct guidelines are consistently followed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
Food & Beverage Operations
- Supervise daily Pool food & Beverage operations while ensuring service standards are consistently met.
- Be thoroughly familiar with menus, ingredients, preparation methods, wine lists, cocktail offerings, and hours of operation for all Food & Beverage outlets.
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are prepared accurately, presented to Sanctuary standards, and delivered in a timely manner.
- Monitor tray, dish, and towel pick-up procedures to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
- Supervise all guest amenities to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
- Maintain bar inventories and ensure all is properly stocked, inventoried, organized, and guest charges are accurately posted.
- Perform monthly inventories, reconcile purchases, and assist with cost control initiatives for Pool Bar operations.
- Coordinate beverage ordering and inventory management while minimizing waste and maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws, Title IV regulations, and departmental policies regarding alcohol service.
- Maintain compliance with all Maricopa County Health Department regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and training of new team members.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through daily feedback and ongoing performance coaching.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and daily staffing assignments.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations, menu changes, VIP arrivals, events, and operational updates.
- Attend weekly Food & Beverage meetings and review Banquet Event Orders to prepare teams for scheduled events.
- Promote teamwork through clear communication, accountability, and positive leadership.
- Assist managers with performance documentation, coaching conversations, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Lead by example while maintaining Sanctuary's luxury service standards.
Guest Service & Operations
- Possess thorough knowledge of the resort, guest accommodations, amenities, and outlet offerings.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve concerns to create memorable experiences.
- Coordinate seasonal operational changes and communicate updates effectively to staff.
- Ensure all work areas, storage areas, service stations, carts, and equipment remain clean, organized, and operational.
- Maintain a positive work environment by fostering respectful and professional relationships with guests, vendors, coworkers, and leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Outlets or Food & Beverage Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or transport up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours) in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work outdoors in high temperatures while maintaining a professional appearance and exceptional guest service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
- Current Food Handler’s Card.
- Title IV Liquor Certification
Related Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years F&B Supervisory experience required.
- Prior experience with Open Table preferred.
- Experience with hospitality and customer service required.
