Position Summary
The Scheduler/Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules, ensuring clients receive reliable coverage, and maintaining effective communication with clients, caregivers, and office staff. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain caregiver schedules.
- Match caregivers with clients based on skills, availability, and client preferences.
- Fill open shifts and respond to last-minute call-offs.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to caregivers and clients.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
- Coordinate new client starts and caregiver assignments.
- Monitor attendance and follow up on missed or late shifts.
- Assist with caregiver onboarding and orientation scheduling.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure quality care and staffing needs are met.
Requirements: Qualifications
- Previous scheduling or staffing experience (home care, healthcare, or medical office preferred).- Excellent communication and customer service skills.- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.- Experience with electronic scheduling systems is a plus.- Reliable, professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a home care agency or healthcare environment.- Knowledge of caregiver scheduling and client care coordination.- Ability to build positive relationships with caregivers and clients.
