IN-PROCESS (QC) INSPECTOR
ACT ENTERTAINMENT
JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Quality Control FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: QC Supervisor EFFECTIVE DATE: May 29, 2024
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for testing and verifying products manufactured on various machines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment and minimize workplace hazards.
- Participate in training related to operation of machine and related paperwork, increase knowledge and awareness to identify material that is substandard and report to supervisor, as required.
- Conduct in-process checks as machines are being set up to run.
- Perform any lab tests as required on products to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document all results by completing inspection logs and reports, then input data into the QC database.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned or instructed by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read measurements via tape measure/ruler, OD tape, Caliper, and a Micrometer
- Ability to read and understand product drawings and instructions.
- Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations
- Good communication skills and patience.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand.
- Frequently required to walk.
- FreqContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
- Occasionally/Frequently/Continually exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually ____ loud.
