Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Responsibilities:

As a part of the Vala’s team, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest readiness of key public areas across the farm. This includes walkways, attractions, and dining spaces both outside food venues and within select indoor locations. The role also ensures that the staff building and its restrooms are kept clean and well-maintained. In addition, the four main guest restrooms receive daily cleanings along with hourly checks to restock supplies and uphold cleanliness standards. The position also involves monitoring trash services throughout the farm, preparing the three main pavilions prior to events, and maintaining cleanliness of floors and waste areas during high-volume events.This position reports to the Hospitality Manager. This is a seasonal, part to full time position. Location may vary based on business needs.

• Ability to identify and respond to cleaning needs in a timely manner
• Ability to lift full trash bags and transport them to appropriate disposal locations
• Ability to wipe tables, mop and sweep
• Checks handwashing stations and bathrooms, restocking supplies as needed
• Maintain clean and functioning bathroom stalls, including plunging toilets, as needed
• Supports trash and cleaning operations for large catering events

Requirements:

• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Works well in a fast paced, team environment
• Ability to complete bodily fluid clean up training
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to move 25lbs, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 50-70lbs occasionally
• No experience is required
