Job Description

Overview

ToolsGroup is seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our multi-channel demand generation engine. This role is responsible for promptly following up on inbound leads and conducting proactive outbound prospecting to generate qualified pipeline and book high-quality discovery meetings for our Sales team across EMEA accounts.

This position is designed as a strategic talent entry point into ToolsGroup Sales. Our vision is that the internal BDR organization will act as a feeder pool for high-potential candidates—budding sales stars eager to get started in the lucrative and fast-growing world of supply chain planning and optimization software.

The role is full-time, fully remote, open to candidates based in Spain or Italy, and reports directly to the Senior Director of Demand Generation while partnering closely with regional Sales leadership.

This role covers both the Iberian and Italian markets (in addition to the rest of Europe), so full professional fluency in all three languages—English, Spanish, and Italian—is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up promptly and professionally on inbound leads generated from marketing programs and events

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn/social outreach, and cold calling

  • Use Apollo to execute structured, personalized outreach sequences

  • Research and map target accounts to identify key decision makers and influencers

  • Qualify prospects against ToolsGroup’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

  • Schedule Sales-accepted qualified discovery meetings for ToolsGroup Account Executives

  • Maintain accurate notes, activities, and data hygiene in HubSpot and Salesforce

  • Use Gong to review calls, improve talk tracks, and refine outreach effectiveness

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to test messaging and improve conversion rates

  • Represent ToolsGroup professionally in all interactions with prospects, partners, and colleagues

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as an SDR/BDR, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and meeting-generation targets

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Confidence with cold outreach and objection handling

  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Ability to work standard EMEA business hours

  • Hands-on experience using Apollo for outbound prospecting and sequencing

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and modern outreach tools is a plus

  • Familiarity with Gong or similar conversation-intelligence platforms is a strong plus

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Spain or Italy

Mandatory Language Requirements

  • Fluent English (required)

  • Fluent Spanish (required)

  • Fluent Italian (required)

Performance Expectations

  • Generate 12–15 Sales-accepted qualified discovery meetings per month

  • Maintain consistent, high-quality outbound activity across email, LinkedIn, and phone

  • Ensure all booked meetings align tightly to ToolsGroup ICP and qualification criteria

  • Demonstrate continual improvement in messaging, call skills, and account knowledge

  • Contribute to regional pipeline creation goals

Career Progression Opportunity

At ToolsGroup, BDRs are not just appointment setters—they are enterprise sellers in training. High performers will gain direct exposure to complex enterprise sales cycles, industry best practices, and executive-level engagement across Retail, Wholesale Distribution, Aftermarket, Manufacturing, and other key verticals.

This role is ideal for driven professionals looking to prove themselves, build a strong foundation in technology sales, and progress into a direct quota-carrying Sales position. Consistent over-performance, strong learning agility, and leadership behaviors will be rewarded with advancement into the ToolsGroup Sales organization.
