The ideal leader combines deep technical expertise with strong business judgment, executive communication, and a hands-on approach.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the worldwide tax function across U.S. federal, state and local, international, transfer pricing, and indirect tax matters.

  • Develop and execute tax strategies designed to appropriately manage global cash taxes, effective tax rate, tax risk, and compliance obligations.

  • Serve as the primary tax advisor to the CFO and Finance leadership on significant business decisions, transactions, and strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor global tax developments and evaluate their impact on business operations, legal entities, cash flows, and financial statements.

  • Establish and oversee global transfer pricing strategy, documentation, intercompany arrangements, and compliance.

  • Serve as the tax lead for acquisitions and strategic transactions, overseeing tax due diligence, structuring, modeling, risk assessment, and integration.

  • Oversee global income tax accounting and the tax provision under U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740 requirements.

  • Manage federal, state, local, and international income tax compliance, including filings, estimated payments, elections, and information reporting.

  • Develop reliable cash-tax forecasts and partner with Finance and Treasury leadership on tax planning and cash management.

  • Lead global indirect tax activities, including U.S. sales and use tax and international VAT/GST, as well as nexus analysis and registrations.

  • Lead U.S. federal and state tax audits and oversee international audits, inquiries, and related risk-management activities.

  • Research complex tax matters, document conclusions, and communicate recommendations and business implications clearly to senior leadership.

  • Maintain effective tax policies, processes, documentation, and internal controls.

  • Build a modern, technology-enabled tax function by identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, analytics, and improved data infrastructure.

  • Partner with Finance and technology teams to reduce manual processes and improve tax research, compliance, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and planning.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive tax experience, including substantial U.S. corporate and international tax experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and international taxation, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, E&P, and related reporting requirements.

  • Strong understanding of ASC 740 and the impact of taxation on U.S. GAAP financial statements.

  • Experience with multinational organizations, global transfer pricing, intercompany arrangements, and cross-border transactions.

  • Experience with state and local income taxes and indirect taxes.

  • Demonstrated M&A tax experience, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-acquisition integration.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop tax professionals and manage external advisors across multiple geographies.

  • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong ownership, accountability, initiative, intellectual curiosity, integrity, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, acquisition-oriented environment.

  • CPA certification is strongly preferred; an MST or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • Public accounting experience, particularly with a Big Four or national accounting firm, is preferred.

  • Experience in software, SaaS, technology, or another multinational corporate environment is preferred.

  • Willingness to remain strategically focused while engaging directly with technical details when required.
