Quality Engineer – Automation in Dallas, Texas at Dallas, Texas

CTG is seeking to fill a Quality Engineer – Automation position for our client.

Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications.

• Create automated test scenarios, scripts, and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and software quality.

• Integrate test automation into CI/CD and software delivery processes within Agile and DevOps environments.

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing; analyze results and troubleshoot defects.

• Manage test data, test environments, and automation configurations.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and delivery teams to improve testing strategies and processes.

• Support modern testing practices, including containerized environments.

Skills:

• Strong software testing and test automation expertise.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UI/UX, responsive design, and at least one front-end framework such as Angular, React, Vue.js, Backbone.js, or jQuery.

• Experience with APIs, databases, server configuration, and at least one backend framework such as Django, Spring, .NET, Express.js, or Rails.

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Java, C#, Python, PHP, or Ruby.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, and caching technologies such as Redis, Memcached, or Varnish.

• Experience with Nginx or Apache and a strong Linux foundation.

• Understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and container technologies.

Experience:

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions and frameworks for web applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.

• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and managing test data and environments.

• Experience troubleshooting automated tests, analyzing results, resolving defects, and collaborating with cross-functional development and QA teams.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
