This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Supervisor, Business and Competitive Intelligence based in India.
This role combines business intelligence, competitive research, sales support, and team coordination within the life sciences sector.
You will help organise intelligence workflows and prioritise research activities that support business growth across clinical and translational solutions.
As a key point of contact for commercial stakeholders, you will help turn market information and research into actionable business insights.
You will provide day-to-day guidance to analysts, promoting consistent research methods, high-quality deliverables, and effective stakeholder communication.
The position also involves supporting lead-generation initiatives, maintaining data quality, and strengthening research and lead-management processes.
You will work across commercial, marketing, lead-generation, and analyst teams in a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
The role is well suited to a proactive professional who combines analytical thinking, industry knowledge, communication skills, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, subject-matter expertise, and support to analysts to promote high-quality work, consistency, and effective execution.
- Coordinate and help prioritise daily activities across lead qualification, business research, competitive intelligence, and market landscape analysis.
- Support research initiatives designed to identify and qualify current and prospective biotech and pharmaceutical business opportunities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for commercial teams on business and competitive intelligence projects that support growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Lead Generation teams to support outreach and business development initiatives.
- Promote strong research methodologies, stakeholder communication, CRM hygiene, data accuracy, and timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales, lead-generation, research, and project-management systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of shared guidance covering research processes, lead management, data-quality standards, and documentation.
- Share best practices and contribute to analyst onboarding, knowledge development, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Identify opportunities to make research and lead-management processes more efficient and improve the effectiveness of team members.
- Support prioritisation and workflow management while ensuring projects and deliverables remain aligned with business objectives.
- Communicate research findings and business insights clearly to a range of internal stakeholders, including scientific, sales, and marketing audiences.
- Conduct presentations and contribute to discussions involving commercial, scientific, and cross-functional teams.
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, science, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in marketing, communications, business development, or sales.
- At least 2 years of experience within an analytical sales-support, business intelligence, research, or related commercial environment.
- Practical B2B sales experience within the life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of the CRO, specialty laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or broader life sciences market.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lead-generation tools, processes, and commercial research practices.
- Strong research, competitive intelligence, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess market information and identify relevant business opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across commercial, marketing, research, and analyst teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, documentation, and quality control.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Adaptable, professional, and motivated, with an understanding of the sales cycle and commercial performance objectives.
- Demonstrated drive and determination to meet or exceed targets and business objectives.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to proactively identify process and workflow enhancements.
- Comfortable preparing and delivering formal presentations to diverse audiences, including scientific, sales, and marketing professionals.
- Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel, including occasional overnight stays, where required.
