Finishing Machine Operator in Franklin, Pennsylvania at Wall Colmonoy

Franklin Precision Castings is seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Operator to join our team. This role is critical to the final stages of our investment casting process, ensuring all products meet quality standards. If you take pride in craftsmanship and have a sharp eye for detail, this is a great opportunity to grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished castings to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Operate grinding equipment, including hand belt grinders
• Perform drill press operations and cut-off saw tasks
• Use water blasting equipment to remove ceramic material from castings
• Assist with pouring molten metal as needed
• Conduct thorough inspections and identify defects or non-conformances
• Safely operate finishing tools and equipment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Report quality or safety concerns promptly to supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing or finishing experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections
• Basic knowledge of finishing tools and techniques preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
