Principal Legal Analyst - Law Enforcement Response in at ZG Subpoena Solutions LLC (ZGSS)

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year based on experience, education, and geographic location.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)

This position may be performed on a hybrid basis for candidates located near one of our office locations or fully remote for candidates residing in approved states outside of commuting distance.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Principal Legal Analyst with sound judgment and strong analytical and critical thinking skills to support client engagements and join our team handling third-party requests for user data from law enforcement.

The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert across multiple types of legal requests and possess deep knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and compliance standards. This individual is adept at reviewing and assisting with complex team escalations and identifying opportunities to optimize the client engagement.

What You Will Do:

• Analyze, interpret, and respond to third-party legal process requests for user data from law enforcement, in accordance with applicable law and client-specific policies and procedures, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable laws including laws relevant to client guidance.
• Assess client workflows and materials, recommend and implement procedural improvements, and identify legal or policy questions requiring escalation for further review.
• Review and assist with team escalations, seek guidance on novel or complex matters when appropriate, and document resolutions to promote consistency and team alignment.
• Drive accountability and alignment through QA participation, analysis of results, and recommendations for training to address skill gaps and strengthen team performance.
• Partner with the Senior Supervisor to analyze engagement data, identify trends, and calibrate productivity benchmarks.
• Facilitate successful client onboarding by quickly developing expertise in client policies, systems, products, and procedures and contributing to the optimization of client engagements.
• Handle sensitive content with professionalism while holding others to the same standard.

Your Capabilities & Experience:

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in the legal or compliance field.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) and its application to data governance practices.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, internet technology, and software (Zendesk a plus, but not required).
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and be willing to apply for a U.S. government security clearance and/or pass a drug test if requested.
