This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Líder Técnico - Java based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership across complex software development initiatives in a dynamic technology environment. You will guide development teams, define robust architectures, and contribute directly to the design and delivery of Java applications. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical decision-making, problem solving, and collaboration across business and technology stakeholders. You will work on mission-critical corporate environments where reliability, scalability, and engineering quality are essential. The role also involves supporting production deployments, resolving complex incidents, and establishing development and architecture standards. Collaboration with project managers, product owners, clients, and external partners will be an important part of your day-to-day work. This is an opportunity to influence technical direction while helping teams deliver high-impact digital solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead development teams from a technical perspective, providing guidance, resolving complex challenges, and promoting strong engineering practices.
  • Define technical architectures and solutions for new projects, ensuring scalability, maintainability, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Java applications while contributing hands-on to critical technical initiatives when required.
  • Design and implement solutions using PL/SQL and Shell Script, including integration and backend development needs.
  • Analyze technical requirements, translate business needs into viable technical approaches, and support effort estimation and technical planning.
  • Conduct code reviews and establish development standards, architecture patterns, and best practices across projects.
  • Support production deployments, investigate incidents, and provide technical assistance to development teams in mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, business teams, clients, and external suppliers during technical discussions and delivery activities.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients and partners, communicating architectural decisions, solutions, risks, and recommendations clearly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, technical standards, and development practices.
Requirements:
  • Solid professional experience with Java and a strong background in software analysis and development.
  • Practical knowledge of PL/SQL, Shell Script, Oracle Database modeling and administration, and SQL-based development.
  • Experience with systems integration, version control using Git, and development within complex corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, REST APIs, Linux, Jenkins, Control-M, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to evaluate technical requirements, design solutions, and make sound architectural decisions.
  • Experience working with mission-critical systems where availability, performance, security, and reliability are key considerations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with technical team leadership, software development project management, or coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of tax and fiscal systems, NFCom (Model 62), telecommunications, SAP integrations, Mastersaf/SAFX, or similar enterprise environments is considered a strong differentiator.
