Senior Cloud Engineer in Mexico at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer based in Mexico.

This role offers the opportunity to design and operate secure, scalable, high-performing cloud network infrastructure supporting global enterprise environments. You’ll work across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, and Azure, helping ensure reliable connectivity and strong network security. Your responsibilities will span cloud networking, infrastructure lifecycle management, troubleshooting, automation, and security. You’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to connect cloud and on-premises environments effectively. The role combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to improve efficiency through scripting and automation. You’ll also gain exposure to international projects, modern cloud technologies, and cross-functional teams while continuing to develop your expertise.

You’ll take ownership of cloud networking operations and improvements, ensuring infrastructure remains secure, reliable, scalable, and optimized for enterprise needs.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud networking solutions across OCI, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Maintain network security through firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and established security best practices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Manage the lifecycle of network infrastructure components, including upgrades, patching, migrations, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to integrate cloud and on-premises environments.
• Automate network provisioning, configuration, and operational processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance cloud network performance, reliability, security, and operational processes.
• Support enterprise-scale cloud environments and contribute to technical projects involving international teams.

Requirements:

You’ll bring hands-on network engineering experience with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, automation, and enterprise networking concepts.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud networking technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, VCNs, VNets, Direct Connect, FastConnect, and ExpressRoute.
• Experience managing network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and access management solutions.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as Python and PowerShell.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across technical teams and international stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Cloud networking certifications in OCI, AWS, or Azure are preferred.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new cloud technologies.
