This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Market Access Director - Strategic Account Management based in Brazil.
This senior leadership role will shape and lead the strategic account management agenda across Brazil, connecting market access strategy, commercial execution, and customer engagement. You will translate portfolio priorities into focused account strategies and sustainable business and patient-access outcomes. The role combines national-level strategy with executive customer engagement, complex negotiations, and innovative commercial models. You will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning public access, private accounts, negotiations, and access innovation. Working across a complex, matrix environment, you will mobilize stakeholders and drive organizational transformation. Your leadership will help strengthen strategic partnerships, expand access, and improve execution across public and private healthcare accounts.
- National Strategic Account Strategy: Define and lead the strategy for strategic public and private accounts across Brazil, translating portfolio and market access priorities into focused, measurable, and results-oriented account plans.
- Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and empower a multidisciplinary team responsible for Public Access, Private Accounts, commercial negotiations, and innovative access models across multiple business areas.
- Executive Customer Engagement: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with health plans, healthcare providers, institutions, and other strategic stakeholders, representing market access in high-impact discussions and complex negotiations.
- Commercial Models & Negotiations: Drive the development and implementation of commercial policies and innovative access models, including risk-sharing agreements, while balancing customer value, scalability, and long-term financial sustainability.
- Account Governance & Performance: Establish effective account governance, segmentation, priorities, and performance indicators to improve coverage, protocol adoption, continuity of access, and execution quality.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Mobilize stakeholders across functions to identify and address market access barriers, develop integrated solutions, and ensure consistent execution against strategic priorities.
- Organizational Transformation: Help implement a new vision for market access by connecting strategic thinking with disciplined execution, evolving commercial approaches, and strengthening strategic partnerships.
- Sustainable Patient Access: Keep sustainable patient access at the center of decision-making while balancing strategic, commercial, customer, and organizational priorities.
- Market Access Leadership: Extensive leadership experience in Market Access across both institutional and private healthcare markets, with a strong understanding of the Brazilian healthcare landscape.
- Strategic Account Management: Proven experience managing strategic accounts is preferred, particularly within complex healthcare environments. Experience in related commercial functions and P&L leadership is also valuable.
- Healthcare Expertise: Deep knowledge of Brazil’s public and private healthcare systems, with demonstrated experience managing complex accounts and building relationships with senior-level customers and stakeholders.
- Commercial & Financial Expertise: Strong expertise in strategic account planning, customer segmentation, complex negotiations, pricing, commercial models, and financial sustainability.
- Leadership & Transformation: Strong commercial mindset, execution focus, and the ability to lead teams and organizational transformation within a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate broad portfolio and access strategies into practical account plans, clear priorities, measurable objectives, and disciplined execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, healthcare institutions, health plans, and providers.
- Communication Skills: Strong executive presence, storytelling, negotiation, and communication skills, with the confidence to represent market access in high-stakes customer discussions.
- Language Skills: Advanced or fluent English is mandatory.
- Therapeutic Experience: Experience in Oncology, Specialty Care, multiple therapeutic areas, or as a Strategic Account Manager is preferred.
