How you will make an impact:

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will help improve how our products are made by supporting continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives. You will focus on maximizing yield, reducing equipment downtime, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and developing reliable production processes. You will provide hands-on process engineering support while working closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, EH&S, Security, Supply Chain, and Process Excellence. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical problem-solving, data analysis, and creativity to make a measurable impact on manufacturing performance.

  • Drive and help facilitate continuous improvement projects.

  • Develop process operational standards, including statistical process control opportunities.

  • Improve product quality by reducing process variability and downtime while increasing or maintaining production speed, capacity, and yield.

  • Work with functional and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods, resolve quality issues, identify trends, and take corrective action.

  • Create standardized work instructions that support the production of high-quality products.

  • Reduce product waste, improve the utilization of capital equipment, lower the cost of quality, and optimize productivity.

  • Work with Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, suppliers, R&D, and management to solve problems and anticipate changes in customer requirements.

  • Work closely with operators to understand issues affecting product quality and equipment efficiency.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, a similar discipline, or commensurate experience.

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience in process engineering or a similar function within printing, coating, web processing, or another manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and applied mathematics.

  • Demonstrated experience working on critical projects.

  • Basic project management skills with success managing self-directed projects.

  • Experience with Minitab statistical software, process mapping, and capability analysis.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean concepts, and 5S.
