Position Summary

The Social & Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and measuring Canal's content across social and digital channels. This role drives brand awareness, engagement, app downloads, loyalty participation, and store visits through both organic and paid marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is equal parts creative storyteller and organized marketer, capable of creating compelling content while managing campaigns, calendars, budgets, partnerships, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
Develop and execute Canal's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reels, and Stories.
Create, edit, schedule, and publish engaging content showcasing Canal's products, people, culture, and community involvement.
Maintain content calendars aligned with store openings, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and business goals.
Write and edit captions and creative copy that reflect Canal's brand voice and customer personas.
Monitor trends and identify opportunities for timely, relevant content.

Brand Management
Ensure consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all digital touchpoints.
Serve as a brand steward by reviewing creative content from stores, vendors, and partners.
Support consistency across social media, website content, email/SMS, packaging, and promotional materials.

Community Management
Manage daily engagement across social channels, including comments, direct messages, mentions, and reviews.
Maintain a positive brand presence through responsive and authentic interactions.
Support reputation management efforts when needed.

Paid Media & Performance Marketing
Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns through Meta and TikTok platforms.
Manage budgets, audience targeting, creative testing, and performance optimization.
Track campaign results including impressions, engagement, app installs, loyalty enrollments, traffic, and store visits.
Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting with actionable recommendations.

Local Store Marketing & Content Capture
Partner with store teams to gather content showcasing employees, customers, products, and community events.
Support new store openings, grand openings, local partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
Travel periodically to store locations to capture content and support marketing initiatives.

Influencer & Creator Partnerships
Identify, recruit, and manage influencer, creator, athlete, and ambassador partnerships.
Negotiate deliverables and coordinate campaign execution.
Track performance of influencer and user-generated content initiatives.
Build scalable creator programs that drive measurable business results.

Website & Asset Management
Support website content updates and SEO initiatives.
Assist with Google Business Profile management, email marketing, SMS campaigns, and digital promotions.
Maintain organized content and design asset libraries.

Reporting & Collaboration
Analyze social and campaign performance and provide regular reports to leadership.
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
Collaborate with operations, marketing, HR, finance, vendors, and store teams to execute projects effectively.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of social media or digital marketing experience.
Experience managing social media for multi-location businesses, preferably in restaurant, QSR, retail, hospitality, or beverage brands.
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reels, Stories, and short-form video.
Hands-on content creation experience, including filming, editing, copywriting, scheduling, and publishing.
Experience with paid social advertising and campaign optimization.
Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel to store locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with coffee, restaurant, drive-thru, QSR, franchise, or retail brands.
Experience supporting new store openings and local market launches.
Experience managing influencer and creator partnerships.
Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Business Profile, Klaviyo, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of SEO, website management, and digital asset organization.
Ability to connect marketing performance to business outcomes, including traffic, loyalty growth, and customer engagement.
