At IncredibleBank, we're all about ICE. What's ICE? ICE stands for Incredible Customer ExperienceTM (that's right - an experience so good and so important we trademarked it). ICE illustrates the core values that drive everything we do - how we conduct business, how we treat each other, and how we continuously strive to build on our model of customer-focused banking. Our core values have been in place for more than 50 years and continue to influence every aspect of our operation today.
So - how can you help us live up to our name?
About the Role:
We are eager to discuss the prospect of you joining our team as our next incredible team member!
This position is responsible for independently evaluating and underwriting moderately complex commercial lending relationships. The position applies advanced knowledge of commercial credit, financial analysis, and risk management principles to assess borrower creditworthiness and support sound lending decisions. Working closely with lenders, relationship managers, and credit leadership, the role exercises a high degree of independent judgment in evaluating credit risk and structuring lending solutions. In addition, the position serves as a resource to less experienced analysts and provides support on more complex credit relationships and portfolio management activities. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Independently analyze and underwrite moderately complex commercial loan requests, renewals, modifications, and annual reviews to evaluate creditworthiness, identify risk exposures, and support sound lending decisions.
- Analyze financial statements, global cash flow, repayment capacity, collateral support, guarantor strength, ownership structures, and sources of repayment to assess risk and determine the overall strength of a credit relationship.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda that evaluate borrower character, capacity, capital, collateral, and operating conditions while clearly communicating financial performance, key risks, mitigating factors, and underwriting recommendations to facilitate informed credit approval decisions.
- Develop recommendations regarding loan structure, risk ratings, covenant requirements, and monitoring practices to support portfolio quality, risk mitigation, and prudent credit administration.
- Evaluate industry, market, economic, and regulatory factors that may affect borrower performance and repayment capacity to identify emerging risks and opportunities within lending relationships.
- Review supporting documentation, including appraisals, title work, UCC searches, leases, insurance documentation, organizational documents, trust agreements, and related materials to validate underwriting assumptions and support credit recommendations.
- Identify policy exceptions, underwriting concerns, and regulatory considerations and recommend appropriate mitigating factors to support informed credit decisions and compliance with lending standards.
- Monitor assigned lending relationships and portfolio trends to identify changes in risk profile, emerging concerns, and opportunities for proactive risk management.
- Partner with lenders, relationship managers, business banking officers, and program specialists to evaluate financing alternatives, structure credit solutions, and balance customer needs with appropriate risk management practices.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and underwriting practices to strengthen team capabilities and enhance overall credit quality.
- Contribute to underwriting, workflow, and process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, risk management practices, and customer experience.
- Decision credit requests within their designated approval authority and recommend larger relationships for decisioning at higher levels of authority

About the Company:
IncredibleBank first started in 1967 as River Valley Bank with a single location in Rothschild, WI. And we may have strong roots in community banking, but IncredibleBank wasn’t awarded as one of America’s Most Innovative Banks by the Independent Community Bankers of America for our popcorn Fridays. Though we do love free popcorn...
We strive to stay on the leading edge of banking technology with the goal providing the best, simplest way for our customers across the country to do their banking. But if our customers need us, they can pick up the phone and talk to a real person. And that’s what makes us America’s first national online community bank. And who doesn’t love the idea of a national community?
Today, IncredibleBank is a $2.0 billion-asset institution that has grown to 17 brick-and-mortar locations with customers in all 50 states. But we know that as an employer, it’s less about size than it is about culture. That’s why we’re especially proud to have been certified as a Great Place to Work.
