Duties

• Performs examination consisting of patient/client history, systems review and appropriate tests and measures.
• Performs evaluation of clients’ mobility status and develops appropriate intervention strategies.
• Implements treatment plans for addressing transfers, bed mobility, gait training, and program and/or community mobility.
• Provides practical training in cardiovascular testing, individual fitness programs, use of exercise equipment and other physical development activities as appropriate.

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and state licensure is required; professional certification and or a master’s degree in physical therapy is preferred
• Previous Spinal Cord / Brain Injury experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in treatment of neurologically related physical disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
• Must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time spent working in this position
• Ability to lift 50lbs
