POSITION TITLE: Youth Center Manager
REPORTS TO: Shelter Director
Major & Essential Functions: Responsible for oversight of youth services within shelter, including youth advocacy, childcare programming, youth support groups, educational and recreational activities, and youth-focused case
management services.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt; Full-Time
Work Environment Expectations:
This position operates within a shared office environment in a residential facility. The role involves a combination of office-based work and physical, hands-on responsibilities that support daily shelter operations and resident needs. Staff must be prepared for flexibility, mobility, and frequent interaction with staff, participants, volunteers, community partners, and external stakeholders, as well as tasks such as supervising children, transporting residents, assisting with activity setup and cleanup, packing and moving belongings, cleaning and organizing spaces, and replenishing food and program supplies as needed.
Additional Position Responsibilities:
• Provide youth programming and childcare coverage in the emergency shelter.
• Create and coordinate youth center schedule ensuring adequate coverage.
• Supervise Staff, interns, and volunteers assigned to youth programming and services.
• Perform all administrative & managerial responsibilities associated with youth programming.
• Develop, implement, and oversee age-appropriate programming, activities, support groups, and educational opportunities for youth residing in shelter.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements, agency policies, licensing standards, and grant expectations related to youth services.
• Monitor service delivery and maintain appropriate records to ensure quality services and program compliance.
• Conduct regular file reviews and documentation audits for youth services.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage for youth services and childcare activities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, childcare providers, mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and other community agencies serving children and families.
• Assist in developing program procedures, policies, and best practices for youth services.
• Inventory & order youth center supplies, equipment, educational materials, and activity resources.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during emergencies and critical incidents as assigned.
• Facilitate staff training as needed.
• Represent CASA at community meetings and events related to children, youth, and family services.
• Participate in Camp Hope programming.
• Assist with shelter operations and support broader organizational needs as assigned.
General Duties:
• Attend and participate in CASA staff meetings, required trainings, and special projects designated by supervisor.
• Attend and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
• Assist with training and supervision of volunteers/interns.
• Complete special projects and presentations as requested.
• Keep supervisor informed of successes, barriers, concerns, and performance issues.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education/life experience preferred, or a minimum of one-year proven success in a current CASA direct service position,
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence or other crisis related experience preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current community resources and have the ability to maintain working relationships with agencies.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and oral.
- Ability to remain calm and make objective decisions during stressful situations.
- Must exercise a high degree of professional discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information and records.
- Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Agree to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Training and experience in domestic violence preferred.
- Demonstrate the willingness to drive agency vehicles.
- Possess the ability to function independently and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Possess a valid Florida State Driver’s License to be verified annually.
- Agree to participate in background check employment.
- Agree to work a flexible schedule when required, which may include changing schedules to ensure case management coverage, due to illness, absence, vacation of other staff members, or a natural disaster.
- All positions are considered essential and as such may be required to be available to remain onsite and/or required to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Work Location: In person
