At DeCoach Recovery Centre, good food is part of good recovery. We're a local leader in addiction treatment, offering evidence-based therapies tailored to each patient's path to long-term wellness — and our dietary team plays a direct role in that healing, one meal at a time. We're looking for a Dietary Cook for our Dayton location who takes pride in preparing meals that nourish both body and spirit.

What You'll Do

Meal Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary guidelines
• Adapt recipes to accommodate allergies, restrictions, and individual preferences

Meal Delivery & Catering

• Deliver meals to local DeCoach housing locations
• Support monthly catering events

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Follow proper food handling and storage protocols
• Keep kitchen, appliances, and equipment clean and organized
• Meet health department standards and facility policy

Menu Management

• Collaborate with the dietary manager on menu planning and updates
• Manage portion control and reduce food waste

Inventory & Supplies

• Track food supplies and flag replenishment needs
• Ensure ingredients are fresh and high quality

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with dietary aides for smooth service
• Communicate with nursing staff and dietitians on resident-specific dietary needs

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, or a similar setting preferred
• Working knowledge of special diets (low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
• Strong culinary and knife skills
• Excellent time management and organization

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
