Position Title: Packaging/Warehouse Technician

Location: South Carolina

Industrial Contract

Description:

We are seeking a dependable Packaging Technician/Material Handler to support warehouse and shipping operations by moving materials, packaging products, and transporting inventory between facilities in the Summerville area. This is a contract position that could lead to a full-time opportunity!

Pay: $23-$25hr

Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Packaging Technician/Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Move, stage, and transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
• Package, crate, preserve, and prepare products for shipment
• Operate forklifts, bridge cranes, jib cranes, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
• Operate a variety of tools: hand tools, power tools, blast cleaning, pressure washer systems, gauges, measuring equipment, wrapping and packaging equipment.
• Work with a variety of material such as wood, non-ferrous metals and alloys.
• Drive a light-duty box truck to transport inventory to/from an offsite warehouse
• Read blueprints and work instructions
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support warehouse operations

Packaging Technician/Material Handler Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience required
• Ability to work independently
• Must be a sole U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
