About the Position:

As a Senior Accountant on our Client Accounting & Advisory Services team, you will play a key role in developing relationships and contributing to the continued success of our clients by supporting their accounting functions. You will work with a variety of clients across multiple industries including manufacturing, services, construction, real estate, not-for-profit, and government. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting records for multiple clients and industries, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Process day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, cash receipts, and cash disbursements.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as part of the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Complete account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accrued liabilities.
  • Research discrepancies, identify resolving entries, and assist with correcting accounting issues.
  • Assist with sales tax filings, Forms 1099, audit requests, and year-end reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information needed to complete accounting and reporting activities.
  • Support accounting system implementations, data cleanup efforts, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and other client service activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and GAAP.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a client-service environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sales tax, payroll processing, and year-end reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and other cloud-based accounting platforms.
