What You'll Do:

  • Handle high-volume inbound calls to manage appointments across multiple provider schedules.
  • Collect and verify patient demographics, health insurance, and referral details within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Direct complex calls, process electronic referrals/faxes, and partner with billing and clinical teams for seamless patient care.
  • Provide warm, professional, and efficient service while managing fast-paced call queues with attention to detail.
Requirements:

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma/GED; plus prior call center AND medical/orthopaedic experience is required.
  • Understanding of health insurance guidelines, referral processes, and medical terminology.
  • Fast, accurate typing while speaking on the phone, strong computer proficiency, and strict adherence to HIPAA/confidentiality.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette, empathy under pressure, and flexibility for working possible weekend hours.

Compensation & Benefits:

OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to disclose the compensation range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $18.00-$24.00 per hour. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location. Eligible full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, which may include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.

With 30 physicians, including 20 Orthopaedic surgeons, across 7 office locations, urgent care centers, and surgical center, POA operates as an outcome-focused orthopaedic practice that combines extraordinary talent, advanced techniques, and cutting-edge tools with compassionate service.
