Job Description

Licensed Life Insurance Closer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Licensed Life Insurance Closer based in Canada.

Join a remote-first insurance sales team where you can help individuals and families protect their financial futures through tailored life insurance solutions. In this role, you will connect with prospective clients who have already expressed interest in life insurance, assess their needs, and recommend suitable coverage options. You will manage the sales process from initial consultation and quoting through application completion and follow-up. With access to provided leads, digital sales tools, and ongoing coaching, you can focus on building client relationships and converting opportunities into successful sales. This independent contractor opportunity offers the flexibility to manage your schedule and develop your sales career from home. With a performance-based compensation structure and uncapped earning potential, your results can directly influence your income.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct telephone consultations with prospective clients who have expressed interest in life insurance products.

  • Assess clients' financial protection needs, personal circumstances, and coverage objectives to recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

  • Present relevant insurance products, explain coverage options, prepare quotes, and guide clients through the application process.

  • Manage sales opportunities from initial contact through closing, maintaining consistent follow-up to support conversions and deliver a positive client experience.

  • Use CRM systems, digital quoting platforms, online applications, and other sales tools to organize leads, track progress, and maintain accurate client records.

  • Provide responsive, professional customer service throughout the sales journey, addressing questions and helping clients understand their available options.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable insurance regulations, licensing requirements, company procedures, and professional sales standards.

  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen product knowledge, improve sales performance, and support continuous professional development.

  • Manage your daily activities and sales pipeline independently while maintaining accountability for production targets and client service quality.

Requirements
  • Licensing: Hold a valid life insurance license in a Canadian province where the partner operates. Applicants licensed exclusively in Quebec or Prince Edward Island are not eligible under the stated licensing requirements.

  • Sales experience: Previous sales experience is an asset, particularly in life insurance, financial services, insurance advising, or telephone-based sales.

  • Communication skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance products clearly and build trust with prospective clients.

  • Consultative selling: Be comfortable conducting telephone consultations, asking relevant questions, understanding client needs, and recommending suitable coverage solutions.

  • Closing ability: Demonstrate confidence in presenting quotes, handling objections, following up with prospects, and guiding clients toward informed purchasing decisions.

  • Self-motivation: Be proactive, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment while managing your schedule and sales pipeline effectively.

  • Technology proficiency: Be comfortable using CRM platforms, digital quoting tools, online application systems, and other technology to manage leads and customer interactions.

  • Time management: Maintain consistent follow-up practices, prioritize opportunities effectively, and balance client needs with individual production goals.

  • Professional integrity: Demonstrate a client-focused approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical sales practices and regulatory compliance.

  • Independent contractor readiness: Understand the responsibilities associated with commission-based work, including managing your own business expenses, taxes, licensing fees, and applicable insurance costs.

Benefits
  • Competitive earning potential: 100% commission-based compensation, with advertised potential earnings ranging from $50,000 to $150,000, depending on individual production and applicable commission schedules. Earnings are not guaranteed.

  • Uncapped commissions: Opportunity to increase income based on sales performance and results.

  • Qualified leads provided: Access to marketing-generated inquiries from individuals who have requested information about life insurance, reducing reliance on personal prospecting alone.

  • Remote work flexibility: Work from home and manage your schedule while serving clients within the provinces where you are licensed.

  • Monthly wellness bonus: Eligible advisors may earn an additional bonus based on established performance and compliance criteria.

  • Training and mentorship: Receive ongoing coaching, product guidance, sales training, and support to improve your performance and professional skills.

  • Digital sales resources: Access quoting platforms, online applications, CRM technology, and streamlined workflows to manage leads and client interactions.

  • Independent working environment: Benefit from autonomy over your daily activities while working within an established sales process and a performance-focused team.
