About the Role:

As an AM Restaurant Server at Hotel Indigo's Star Bar & Bistro, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests during morning service hours. Your primary focus will be to provide attentive, friendly, and efficient service, ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and valued. You will be responsible for accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. This role requires collaboration with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations and uphold the high standards of the Hotel Indigo brand. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to guest satisfaction, repeat business, and the overall success of the Star Bar & Bistro within the hospitality industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a restaurant server or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Legal eligibility to work in the location of the Hotel Indigo property.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hotel restaurant or upscale dining environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation certifications.
• Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and present menus, explaining daily specials and answering questions about menu items.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables.
• Handle guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and support during busy periods.
• Process guest payments accurately and provide correct change or receipts.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as clear communication and customer service are essential for engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously. Attention to detail and organizational skills help in accurately taking orders and maintaining a clean, inviting dining environment. Physical stamina is necessary to manage the demands of standing and moving throughout the shift.
