Event Travel Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Event Travel Manager based in United States.

This is a client-facing travel management role supporting corporate event programs and travelers across the U.S.
You’ll provide personalized assistance throughout the full travel lifecycle, from booking through post-trip support.
The role combines hands-on travel coordination with client relationship management, project administration, and program delivery.
You’ll work closely with client stakeholders to understand objectives, manage service expectations, and ensure smooth event travel experiences.
Success requires strong travel-industry expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to resolve urgent issues efficiently.
You’ll join a fast-moving, technology-enabled environment where continuous learning and operational excellence are highly valued.
The position is remote and offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, travelers, and internal teams.

Accountabilities
  • Manage event travel programs from post-sale coordination through final billing, ensuring deliverables, service agreements, SLAs, and documentation remain accurate and compliant.
  • Provide personalized travel support to travelers before, during, and after trips, including handling changes, cancellations, and updates to hotel, air, car, and rail reservations.
  • Provide accurate fare and booking information while troubleshooting travel issues using available agent tools, systems, and resources.
  • Partner closely with client contacts to understand program goals, identify critical success factors, and deliver travel solutions aligned with their objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal account teams, serving as a trusted point of contact for event travel needs.
  • Support program planning, project setup, client-facing meetings, and ongoing coordination across relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, product updates, and industry initiatives to maintain strong knowledge of travel practices and platform capabilities.
  • Support Team Leads and contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and consistent service delivery.
  • Continuously improve travel expertise, operational processes, and customer support practices to maintain a high standard of service.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of group travel planning experience is preferred, with broader experience in corporate or event travel considered valuable.
  • 4+ years of GDS experience is preferred, particularly with Sabre, including PNR creation and ticketing; Amadeus and NDC experience are also advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of travel bookings across air, hotel, car, and rail, with TravelXen or comparable travel-platform experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients, Account Managers, and Account Executives.
  • Demonstrated customer-service expertise and a strong record of achieving positive customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence participating in client-facing video calls for setup and project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace, combined with the technical aptitude to learn new systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with internal communication tools such as Slack and the ability to navigate multiple technology platforms effectively.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly and calmly to urgent travel matters.
  • An empathetic, professional, and customer-focused approach, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently, use available resources to investigate issues, and develop practical solutions without extensive supervision.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment, with flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Genuine interest in travel and a basic understanding of world geography.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual pay range of $68,000–$72,000 USD, with starting compensation determined by factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, and internal equity.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage and insurance benefits designed to support employees and their families.
  • Wellness and mental health resources.
  • Retirement savings programs to support long-term financial security.
  • Opportunities to participate in equity programs, where applicable.
  • Flexible paid time off and country-specific holidays.
  • Paid parental leave for new parents.
  • Connectivity and commuting support for eligible locations.
  • Travel-related employee perks.
  • Remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Access to a fast-paced, high-performance environment with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop professionally.
