As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in the plastic injection molding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of our production processes, products, and services. This role requires strong leadership abilities along with practical experience in quality control methodologies specific to plastic injection molding.

Responsibilities:

1. Assign and supervise the performance of inspectors and verify that duties are being performed per established procedures.

2. Ensure team of associates are provided all necessary training, documents, and tools to complete quality duties.

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols tailored to the plastic injection molding processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production lines, equipment, and finished products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and design, to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Train personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices to enhance overall quality awareness and performance.
  • Manage and prepare quality documentation and records, including reports, audits, and corrective action plans, to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Approve products for shipment, complying with company standards and customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with implementing automated inspection systems or quality assurance software in plastic manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the plastic injection molding industry (e.g., FDA regulations, RoHS compliance).
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and tools used in plastic mold design and simulation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the plastic injection molding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques, particularly as they apply to plastic injection molding manufacturing processes.

4. Experience with ISO (9001 and 13485) and ISO audits.

5. Use of IQMS (or other ERP systems).

6. Prior experience with quality equipment (CMM, MicroVu, calipers, micrometers, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality assessments and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
