Position Summary
B. Braun Medical Inc., a leader in infusion therapy and pharmaceutical manufacturing, is seeking a Production Lead to support daily manufacturing operations within our aseptic production environment. This role provides front-line leadership and technical support to production associates while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating production activities, driving operational efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
The ideal candidate will possess experience in aseptic manufacturing processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively lead teams in a fast-paced production environment. This position works closely with Production Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to achieve production goals while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and patient safety.
In This Role, You Will Have the Chance To:
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Provide training, coaching, and day-to-day support to manufacturing associates.
- Support aseptic manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, and quality requirements.
- Monitor production performance, analyze data, and drive process improvements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, investigations, deviation reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support onboarding and development of production personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical degree preferred.
- 2+ years of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in aseptic processing, sterile manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device production.Working knowledge of cGMPs, quality systems, and manufacturing documentation practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using production metrics to support operational improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, and off-shifts as needed.
Preferred Experience Includes
Hands-on experience supporting aseptic filling, sterile processing, cleanroom operations, or environmental monitoring activities.
Experience leading teams in pharmaceutical, medical device, biologics, or healthcare manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience participating in audits, inspections, CAPA activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
Requires working knowledge of manufacturing operations and aseptic production processes.
Applies established technical principles, procedures, and practices to support production objectives.
Works under general supervision and may assist in training, assigning, and reviewing work performed by production associates.
Exercises sound judgment in resolving routine production and process-related issues.
Collaborates with supervisors, quality personnel, engineers, maintenance technicians, and production team members to achieve operational goals.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and comply with cleanroom gowning requirements, including sterile gowns, gloves, masks, and hair coverings.
- Regular work in GMP-regulated manufacturing and classified cleanroom environments.
- Must successfully complete gowning qualifications and follow aseptic techniques and contamination control procedures.
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime based on business needs.
Pay Range- $30.28 -$36.00/ hour
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range provided is a reasonable estimate.
