1st Shift- 6:30am-2:30pm

2nd Shift – 2:30pm–10:30pm

3rd Shift- 10:30pm-6:30am

Overtime Scheduled as Needed on Weekends

Pay: $21.37 - $23.65 per hour, depending on experience, including a $1.25 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shifts. Overtime may be scheduled before/after the shift and on weekends when required.

HTI is currently seeking Automation Equipment Operator for IFA Rotorion in Summerville, SC. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting automated production equipment while maintaining production, quality, and safety standards. Candidates should have manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions of Automated Equipment Operator:

• Safely operate and monitor automated production equipment according to established work instructions, production standards, and cycle-time requirements.
• Load and unload components and materials from automated equipment.
• Verify incoming parts and components according to work instructions, CVRs, and quality requirements.
• Preassemble components at the required production rate.
• Use gauges and basic inspection equipment to verify product quality and identify defects.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormal conditions, defects, downtime, or other issues.
• Create or initiate maintenance work orders when equipment issues are identified.
• Perform assigned Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities according to schedule.
• Follow established procedures for identifying, documenting, and handling nonconforming materials.
• Disassemble nonconforming shafts or components according to approved work instructions.
• Complete required production, quality, downtime, TPM, and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Communicate equipment, production, and quality concerns to supervisors and appropriate support teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Follow all safety requirements, including machine guarding, PPE, quality standards, and standardized work procedures.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other support departments to resolve concerns and support continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate the ability to independently perform multiple designated production functions and support automated production processes as trained and qualified.
• Assist with equipment and process stability by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and equipment reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Desired:

• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, or automated equipment experience.
• Experience independently performing multiple manufacturing or production functions is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate automated equipment.
• Basic understanding of industrial machines, gauges, and production processes.
• Ability to read and follow CVRs, work instructions, visual aids, quality documentation, and other written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to use basic measurement and inspection equipment.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to recognize and respond to visual and audible machine notifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality or equipment concerns.
• Ability to accurately complete production, quality, TPM, and maintenance documentation.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while also working effectively with a team.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement concepts is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of basic measurement and tolerance requirements.
