POSITION SUMMARY
The position of General Labor is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse related tasks to manage product flow and inventory control and maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse, resulting in the highest level of quality and inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform outbound and inventory control activities with excellent accuracy by recording materials shipped; may assist with counting of physical inventory.
- Load and unload inventory from trucks manually utilizing pallets and/or conveyor belts.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work-stations clean and neat; sweep and/or mop floors.
- Prepare inventory for shipping.
- Sort and stock materials on racks and/or shelves according to organizational standards.
- Assist other employees with day-to-day operations as needed and directed.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Comply with established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of warehouse work instructions, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods or for duration of shift (8-12 hour shifts).
- Ability to work rotating day/night, 8-12 hour shifts, as applicable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds and levels of management.
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude towards members of management, coworkers, customers, partners, and other visitors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and/or under stressful situations.
- Ability to proactively problem solve.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year warehouse experience, preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed inside a warehouse and/or manufacturing plant with exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather. May involve moderate exposure to potentially dangerous materials or situations, such as extreme heights, temperatures, dust, fumes, vapors, solvents and chemicals, and loud noises. Use of personal protective safety equipment is required. Work may be performed alone, with others, around others, and with verbal and face-to-face contact. Work may include extended days.
