Responsibilities:
Depending on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, this role will be filled at the Right of Way Assistant, Right of Way Agent, or Senior Right of Way Agent level.
Right of Way Assistant
A Right of Way Assistant will build proficiency in handling administrative tasks; use mail merge for legal documents; perform basic title and land rights research; research corporations, officers/agents, and property owner contacts; apply self-checking quality control; participate in regular project meetings; provide additional administrative support as assigned; and transition into a Right of Way Agent role aligned with experience and performance.
Required years of experience of candidate at hire: 0-2
Anticipated salary range: $50,000 - $70,000
Right of Way Agent
A Right of Way Agent will build proficiency in negotiating uncomplicated partial and total property acquisitions in compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act of 1970 (Uniform Act); participate in regular project meetings; obtain land use and regulatory permits required for capital projects; and transition into a Senior Right of Way Agent role aligned with experience and performance.
Required years of experience at hire: 2–5
Anticipated salary range: $70,000 - $90,000
Senior Right of Way Agent
A Senior Right of Way Agent will build proficiency in negotiating complex partial and total property acquisitions in compliance with the Uniform Act; participate in regular project meetings; obtain complicated land use and regulatory permits required for capital projects; prepare property valuations in accordance with regulations; mentor Right of Way Assistants and Agents; and transition into a project manager role aligned with experience and performance.
Required years of experience at hire: 5+
Anticipated salary range: $90,000 - $105,00
