Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant/Janitor supports both maintenance and janitorial functions within the feed mill. This role includes operating equipment, assisting in the control room, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to facility needs, while also maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. The position reflects a dual responsibility, ensuring smooth operations and a safe, clean environment.

Essential Functions:
Vehicle operation — Drive maintenance truck and operate forklift as needed.
Control room support — Assist operators in monitoring and adjusting equipment.
Machine operation — Help run production machines when required.
Preventive maintenance — Grease machinery, check fluid levels, and perform basic upkeep.
General maintenance — Support repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting under supervision.
Facility upkeep — Mow lawns, pull weeds, salt sidewalks, and handle seasonal grounds work.
Janitorial tasks — Clean floors, restrooms, break areas, and maintain sanitation standards.
Safety compliance — Follow lockout/tagout, PPE, and feed mill safety protocols.
Adaptability — Flex between maintenance and janitorial functions depending on daily needs.
Emergency response — Assist in spill cleanup, equipment shutdowns, or urgent facility issue
Accountability — Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
Safety Awareness — Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

COMPENSATION
$21–22 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule:
2nd shift hours : 3pm to 11pm
Monday to Friday.
