Title: Cycle Counter
Department: Logistics
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through regular and systematic counting of stock. This role ensures that physical inventory matches system records, identifies discrepancies, and supports continuous improvement in inventory control processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Cycle Counts
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts based on ABC classification and/or other inventory strategies.
Inventory Reconciliation
Compare physical counts with system records and investigate discrepancies. Document findings and recommend corrective actions.
Data Entry & Reporting
Update inventory systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) with accurate count data. Generate and submit inventory reports to management.
Root Cause Analysis
Assist in identifying causes of inventory variances and collaborate with teams to resolve and prevent future issues.
Material Handling Support
Help locate misplaced items, verify bin locations, and assist warehouse staff in finding stock.
Equipment Operation
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and scanners.
Maintain Clean Work Area
Ensure counting zones are organized and comply with safety and sanitation standards.
Process Improvement
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Cross-Departmental Communication
Respond to inquiries from Customer Service, Production, and Engineering regarding inventory status and availability.
Ensure compliance with Amaneos policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to Quality.

Preferred Education and Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Inventory Control: Experience managing and reconciling inventory discrepancies
• Math Proficiency: Strong mental math and analytical skills for accurate counting and reporting
• Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Familiarity with SAP & Scanners
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies and maintain high accuracy
• Problem-Solving: Capable of investigating and resolving inventory issues independently
• Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and team coordination
• Time Management: Efficient in completing cycle counts within scheduled timeframes
• Audit Experience: Familiarity with conducting inventory audits and reporting findings
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable with standing, lifting, and moving inventory throughout the shift
• Forklift or Reach Truck Operation: Experience operating warehouse equipment (if applicable)
