Fincantieri Marine Systems North America is hiring for a Marine Maintenance Technician Pumper in the Pump Shop department at our Jacksonville and Mayport, FL, locations. This is a 1st shift role, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM.

Position Summary

The Marine Maintenance Technician Pumper is responsible for supporting the repair, overhaul, testing, and maintenance of marine pumps, valves, and related equipment while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position also provides shipyard support services, including pumping, tank cleaning, gas-free, and compressed air operations, while maintaining compliance with NAVSEA requirements, Coast Guard regulations, and company safety, environmental, and 5S workplace standards.

Essential Functions

  • Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, reassemble, perform shaft alignment, and test marine pumps, valves, and other rotating equipment, replacing worn components, in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items and approved repair procedures.
  • Operate shop equipment, pumps, company truck operation, and supporting equipment while complying with all shipyard safety, quality, environmental, and 5S workplace standards
  • Conduct tank washing, cleaning, preparation, pumping operations, gas-free services, tank blanketing, and compressed air services in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements
  • Inspect and maintain hydraulic hoses, ensure annual testing and Coast Guard inspection requirements are completed and documented
  • Report daily work progress and quality results to management, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable procedures and regulations
  • Other duties and overtime as assigned
