POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding qualified candidates to support the staffing needs of Encompass Early Education and Care. This position partners with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, manage the full-cycle recruitment process, and promote Encompass as an employer of choice. The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures a positive candidate experience while supporting organizational growth and maintaining compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for a variety of positions throughout the organization.
  2. Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, define position requirements, and identify qualified candidates.
  3. Create and maintain job postings across recruitment platforms and ensure positions are accurately represented.
  4. Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, educational institutions, workforce development agencies, career fairs, and community partnerships.
  5. Conduct phone screens, interviews, reference checks, and pre-employment activities in accordance with organizational procedures.
  6. Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire documentation, orientation activities, and pre-employment requirements.
  7. Maintain applicant tracking records and ensure candidate information is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  8. Monitor recruitment metrics, hiring trends, and staffing needs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  9. Promote Encompass employment opportunities through community outreach, recruitment events, and employer branding initiatives.
  10. Support hiring managers with interview guidance, candidate evaluations, and recruitment best practices.
  11. Maintain knowledge of recruitment trends, and early childhood workforce requirements.
  12. Support the mission, values, and goals of Encompass Early Education and Care while performing other duties as assigned.

Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment. This position requires regular use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment. Occasional travel between agency locations and participation in meetings or events may be required. Noise levels are typically moderate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for multiple positions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and recruitment technologies preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities.
  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications and make sound hiring recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications.
