This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Engineer based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale critical data infrastructure that powers business intelligence and strategic decision-making.
You will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business operations, creating reliable systems that unlock insights across the organization.

Accountabilities

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data systems, ensuring data reliability, and partnering with stakeholders to transform complex business needs into effective technical solutions.

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Databricks.
  • Build and improve analytical data models that support financial decisions, product development, operations, marketing, and business growth.
  • Develop robust ETL workflows and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with Analysts, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Investigate datasets, validate business assumptions, and ensure accuracy and consistency before deploying new data solutions.
  • Establish and promote best practices around code quality, data quality, documentation, and engineering standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of data platforms by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical contributor and mentor by sharing knowledge, improving team practices, and helping elevate engineering excellence.
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong data engineering expertise, experience building modern data platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data modeling.
  • 5+ years of professional experience using Python for data processing and engineering workflows.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Databricks and distributed data processing environments.
  • Strong experience with Apache Spark and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into practical and reliable technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, analytics infrastructure, and production data systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy, performance, and maintainability.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities effectively.
