Job Description
Job Summary:
This is a role responsible for assisting the onsite EnEHS Manager with developing, coordinating, and assuring implementation of various safety programs at the Avgol-Mocksville manufacturing facility. This individual will primarily be responsible for assisting with implementing corrective actions identified through various means to improve the safety and health environment, as well as the coordination of other safety initiatives. This individual must be able to communicate with all levels of the facility. The successful candidate for this position must be able to administer policies and procedures in accordance with established local, state, and federal requirements
Key Responsibilities:
| Promotes Safety as the top priority through assistance and execution of development of EHS Programs |
| Help assist with conduction of annual and new hire safety training and help manage Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandated safety training topics and materials |
| Monitors internal compliance to policies and procedures and addresses issues by working with proper leadership personnel |
| Track and manage near miss program |
| Complete safety assessments and monthly safety audits |
| Maintain safety data sheets (SDS's) for the site and ensure access to associates is adequate |
| Ability to input initial incident notifications into company's Intellex recordkeeping system, and gather information on all accidents and near miss investigations |
| Help manage site's compliance with ISO 45001, 50001 & 14001 |
| Participate in site's Safety Committee & Emergency Response Teams |
| Ability to obtain FA/CPR/AED training and administer minor first aid |
| Implement preventive measures for safety with a focus on behavioral based safety |
| May be asked to accompany an injured employee for treatment and medical evaluation |
| Conduct daily audits and remain highly visible on production floor to ensure key deliverables and inspections are achieved, including but not limited to: Lockout procedures, racking inspections, dock equipment, ladders, etc. |
| Help facilitate, monitor, develop, and track company's JHA's and Standard Work programs |
| Other additional duties assigned by Manager |
Qualifications:
- Prior Safety Training experience preferred
- Computer skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint
- Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively and ability to read and comprehend documents
- Deliver guidance on task items to include follow-up (communicate effectively)
- Ability to acquire knowledge of OSHA 1910 Regulations
- OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain certificate within 60 days is required.

Pay Range: $47,000 - $55,000
Work Environment:
Our facility is a combination of (60%) manufacturing, (10%) warehouse and (30%) office. Non-Office areas are not climate controlled and are moderate to high noise levels. Physical requirements include lifting up to 15lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, reaching and some repetitive (computer) work.
