Job Description

Position Summary:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective changeover of dies on our production equipment to ensure a smooth transition between different manufacturing processes. As a Die Changer, you will play a vital role in maintaining production schedules and quality standards while minimizing downtime during changeovers.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This position requires a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the die changing process. You will be working closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to coordinate efforts and optimize production flows. The ideal associate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a solid understanding of tooling, die setup, and safety practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform die changes on production machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.Inspect dies for wear and damage prior to installation and report any issues to supervisors.Coordinate with machine operators to schedule die changes during planned downtimes or production shifts.Maintain an organized and clean work area while ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.Document and log die change activities, noting any issues that occur during the process.Continuously monitor production operations and assist in troubleshooting equipment or die related issues as they arise.Participate in team meetings to discuss process improvements and share best practices related to die changing.

Education/Experience/Training (minimum required):

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school experience is preferred.Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, preferably in a die-changing role.Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of production machinery and tooling.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
