Position Summary

The LED Lighting Technician is responsible for the assembly, installation, testing, and quality inspection of LED lighting components integrated into acoustic felt products. This position works closely with Manufacturing, Assembly, and Product teams to ensure lighting systems are installed safely, accurately, and according to product specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install LED lighting components into acoustic felt products, including baffles, panels, and other custom products.
  • Read and follow work orders, drawings, wiring diagrams, and product specifications.
  • Install LED strips, light fixtures, drivers, connectors, wiring, and related electrical components.
  • Perform basic wiring, connections, and component assembly using appropriate hand and electrical tools.
  • Test completed lighting assemblies for proper operation, appearance, and functionality before packaging or shipment.
  • Troubleshoot LED lighting, wiring, connection, and component issues and complete necessary repairs.
  • Verify that lighting components and installation locations match work order and customer requirements.
  • Maintain clean and organized wiring and component placement within finished products.
  • Identify defective or damaged components and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of LED components, wiring, drivers, connectors, and related materials.
  • Work with Production teams to develop and improve LED assembly and testing processes.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and electrical handling requirements.
  • Assist with prototype builds and new LED product development as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with LED lighting, low-voltage electrical systems, electrical assembly, or a related manufacturing field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring, polarity, voltage, and electrical connections.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Experience using multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and assembly issues.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with other manufacturing departments.

Preferred Skills

  • LED lighting assembly and troubleshooting experience.
  • Low-voltage wiring experience.
  • Soldering and electrical connector experience.
  • Experience with LED drivers, power supplies, and lighting controls.
  • Familiarity with custom or architectural lighting products.
  • Experience working with acoustic products, fabricated components, or custom manufacturing.

Position Objective

Ensure all LED-integrated felt products are assembled, wired, tested, and completed accurately while establishing reliable processes that support product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and continued growth of the company's LED product offerings.
