Driver / Route Supervisor – Austin

Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys is seeking a dependable, hands-on Driver / Route Supervisor to support our Austin delivery operation. This is an hourly position for someone who can safely operate delivery routes while also providing day-to-day leadership, organization, and support to our driver team.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, organized, and comfortable working independently while helping ensure routes are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles and complete assigned delivery routes.

• Provide day-to-day support and direction to Austin route drivers.

• Help coordinate route coverage, call-outs, schedule changes, and operational needs.

• Ensure drivers are prepared for their routes and deliveries leave on schedule.

• Monitor route completion and communicate delays, delivery issues, or customer concerns to management.

• Assist with loading, checking, and organizing products before departure.

• Verify deliveries are accurate and completed according to company procedures.

• Help train and coach drivers on route procedures, customer service expectations, vehicle safety, and company policies.

• Reinforce safe driving practices and proper use and care of company vehicles.

• Report vehicle damage, accidents, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly.

• Assist management with documentation related to route or driver performance when requested.

• Maintain professional relationships with customers and represent Antone’s in a positive manner.

• Perform other delivery and operational duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

• Previous delivery, route driving, transportation, distribution, or similar experience preferred.

• Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred.

• Ability to safely operate a company delivery vehicle.

• Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and provide direction to other team members.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to use a mobile phone or other technology for route and work-related communication.

• Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload products associated with delivery operations.

• Must meet company driving and pre-employment requirements.

Schedule

This is an hourly position based in Austin, Texas. The schedule will be based on delivery-route and operational needs and may include early mornings, weekends, and extended shifts as business needs require.
