Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant in Escondido, California at People's Dentistry

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our clinical team.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of dental assisting experience, enjoys working with patients, works well as part of a team, and is looking for an opportunity to continue learning and growing within a dental practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide four-handed chairside assistance during general dental procedures.
• Prepare and seat patients, review medical histories, and help patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control and safety standards.
• Take quality digital X-rays when appropriately certified.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Provide post-operative and oral-hygiene instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Take impressions, pour models, fabricate temporary restorations, and perform other duties within the individual's permitted scope.
• Maintain clinical supplies and keep treatment rooms organized and stocked.
• Assist the front-office team as needed to support smooth patient flow and office operations.

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• DA or current California RDA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Radiation Safety certification required to take dental X-rays.
• Required California infection-control training.
• Comfortable with digital radiography and dental practice-management software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
