About the Role:

The Plumber plays a critical role in ensuring the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance within the construction industry. This position requires overseeing complex plumbing projects from inception to completion, coordinating with contractors, architects, and clients to deliver reliable and code-compliant solutions. The Master Plumber will lead and mentor a team of plumbers and apprentices, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements. This role demands a deep understanding of plumbing codes, materials, and modern technologies to troubleshoot and resolve challenging issues effectively. Ultimately, the Master Plumber ensures that all plumbing systems function optimally, contributing to the overall success and safety of construction projects across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Plumber license or certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with green plumbing technologies and sustainable building practices.
• Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
• Familiarity with plumbing software and project management tools.
• Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Additional certifications such as backflow prevention or medical gas piping.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
• Interpret blueprints, building codes, and technical drawings to plan plumbing layouts and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
• Supervise and train plumbing staff, including apprentices and journeymen, to maintain high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and system malfunctions, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors to coordinate plumbing activities and ensure timely project completion.
• Manage procurement of plumbing materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and compliance documentation.
