Van Driver - Certified Nursing Assistant in Pasadena, Texas at Pillar Stone Health Care Company

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide transportation for residents to and from doctor's appointments and dialysis appointments.

Report changes in physician orders given from doctor's appointments to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.

Report all changes in the resident’s condition during transport to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.

Prepare residents for appointments.

Make beds (occupied and unoccupied) when not performing transportation services.

Assist with transporting residents into and out of chairs and wheelchairs.

Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or Emergency Medical Technician.

Must have no moving violations or accidents on Motor Vehicle Record.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to residents being transported.

Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult resident.

Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
