Office of the Registrar - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26003675)
Reporting to an Associate University Registrar, the Assistant University Registrar for Curriculum Management coordinates and oversees the publication and editorial aspects of the University Catalogs to ensure consistency in structure, content, format, and style. This role requires strong collaboration skills to connect multiple layers of a complex organization by coordinating curriculum processes and acting as a strategic partner with various university offices and functions throughout the curriculum lifecycle. The position involves reviewing curriculum proposals for completeness, supervising system management roles, as well as ensuring effective records management. Additionally, it will include creating and organizing a network of University Catalog contacts, in order to engage stakeholders. This will require having (or developing) a strong understanding of post-secondary curriculum development, excellent written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex business processes and collaborate with diverse internal and external partners across the university.
Provides oversight of all functions associated with transcripts and certification in the Office of the University Registrar. Serves as the primary point of contact for third-party software problem resolution for system functions within areas of supervision.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates publication and provides editorial oversight for the University Catalogs to include ensuring consistency of structure, content, format, and style across the University.
- Ensures connection across multiple layers of a complex organization, by coordinating curriculum processes and serving as both a resource and strategic partner throughout the curriculum lifecycle (proposal through implementation) while liaising with the Office of the Provost, schools, administrative offices (e.g., Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, Admissions, Pitt Digital, etc.), and internal functions of OUR (to include Course/Class, AAR, University Catalogs, Grades and Graduation, and PS Academic Structure Maintenance). This may include taking on specific tasks connected to updating PS Academic Structure and communicating those outcomes to various constituents on behalf of the office once the process is complete.
- Reviews Curriculog proposals for completeness and clarity of necessary information and provide input throughout the review process, which will include representing OUR with PACUP and UCGS. Identify potential challenges to implementing proposals due to existing policy, regulations, compliance standards, accreditation, and/or systems.
- Provides oversight for Curriculog and Acalog and supervises the Senior Systems Analyst role that manages these systems.
- Provides record and data stewardship and management for University-wide curriculum approval and implementation.
- Analyzes and evaluates opportunities with use of technology and process improvement to gain efficiency and effectiveness with curriculum management.
- Organizes and leads a University-wide network of University Catalog contacts in both academic and administrative units. This would include managing stakeholder engagement and change management with any changes in policy, regulations, process, systems, and/or functionality.
- Provides oversight for the office’s implementation of Perceptive Content as part of records management and supervise the Records Manager role that operationalizes this.

Physical Effort
This is a fairly sedentary position. Ability to to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. Mobility to attend meetings throughout campus.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
Hiring Range: $60K - $66K per year
